Prudence Tippins discusses how emotional healing is enhanced by a systemic perspective, and how the systems we are a part of benefit from our emotional healing. From a young age, Prudence has been holding the question, “How can we help each other to remember our connectedness?” This talk reflects her current thinking on the matter, informed by her education and experience as a licensed marriage and family therapist, and she is eager to gather answers from those in attendance to add to the ongoing conversation.

The modern diet – even the so-called healthy ones – are missing some key foods and nutrients that were present in traditional diets. In this talk, we will explore some of those missing foods and why focusing on what to add to the diet is more important than what to take out. This talk will be presented by Laura Poe Mathes, a registered dietitian in private practice in Viroqua. Her specialty is on gut health, with a focus on ancestral diet and lifestyle principles. She also teaches workshops on traditional food preparation, including fermentation and cooking with the whole animal.

Joshua Estep is a local nurse who provides wellness coaching and client advocacy services through his business, Womb to Tomb Wellness, LLC. He works to help people optimize their wellbeing and prevent, reverse or better manage the root causes of many chronic diseases.

Joshua received his BS in Kinesiology Exercise & Movement Science from UW Madison, and his BSN from UW Oshkosh’s Accelerated BS to BSN program.

In this talk, Joshua focuses on understanding some of the most impactful root causes of chronic mental and physical health issues, and what simple lifestyle ‘hacks’ can do to address them and restore vitality to life.

A person’s outlook, attitude and basic beliefs on health have just as much input with how one experiences wellness on this planet. In other words, how a person believes, thinks and acts will have a significant impact on the expression of their health. Consciousness on a personal health and wellness level does matter.
