We are in a cabin cruiser 40 miles east of Midway Island over the Ladd Seamount that rises 21,000 feet from the ocean floor,,the top is 200 feet below and this spot is a magnet for fish and birds. We are with a lifelong fisher whose life is devoted to studying tuna for the purpose of promoting sustainable fisheries.
