“Protect Your Bats”
We hear from Denise Thornton who writes essays for My Wisconsin Woods, an organization that provides much needed comprehensive information for forest landowners.
Her article is titled “Protect Your Bats”. Bats are active and having babies right now. We can help them in many ways, on their way to recovery from the devastating fungal disease white nose syndrome, that has reduced their populations so much. Thanks to Denise Thornton and DNR bat biologist Heather Kaarakka for their knowledge and love of our bats.
Denise also has a blog titled “Digging in the Driftless”, featuring especially interesting strawbale house construction with unmilled branching timberframe design.
