Today, the story of Muralt Bluff Prairie; the origin seeds of The Prairie Enthusiasts; the people who, in the early 70’s, were fascinated by the beautiful, completely-new-to-them, very old prairie plants they encountered at this botanical gem in Green County. Saving precious native plant remnants like this became their life’s passion, and the start of this great organization. I found this writing about some people I have known for decades, to be spot on in its insight. The author, Kysh Lindell’s job, working for The Prairie Enthusiasts as an AmeriCorps employee, was recently abruptly terminated. Hear what TPE lost, and if you can donate, help keep them on for more.
